Twin Update

So far things have been crazy. Baby A is doing quite well, she's head down and growing well. She's passed all her NSTs and moves all the time. Baby B is causing the most stress. She's been head down up until this week. But her major issue resulted when the Maternal Fetal Specialist did an ultrasound and found that she hadn't grown in over a month (as of July 8th). A was 4 lbs 5 oz, putting her in the bottom 25th percentile and B was 3 lbs 5 oz, putting her in the bottom 14th percentile. It gets to be a big concern when a baby drops below the bottom 10. We've known from the beginning they were going to be small, but this small causes concern. B was growing, showing progress up until last week's ultrasound. This caused a red flag to pop up, and then begins the scared mommy to stress.

A is on top. B is on bottom.

Since that ultrasound, I've continued my twice a week NSTs and once a week doctor's visits, as well as my once a week MFS visit. Both girls have passed all their NSTs and BPPs, which is great, especially with the growth concern. There was talk of having an early induction around 36-37 weeks. This has caused some stress and concern for my husband and I, and our fears came around, especially after we've already lost 2 babies.
Well, today has brought great news for the most part. It's caused a lot more optimism for both of us, and taken some of my fears away.
After visiting with the MFS and him doing an ultrasound, both girls again passing their BPP, we discussed what options we had been discussing. Well, we've decided to not do the early induction. They're both practicing breathing, their heart rates are doing well, their cords are still giving them what they need, and their lungs are still developing. Why pull them early?
We go back for a growth scan next week, and with God's hand, hopefully B will have grown. If not, we will discuss options from there. But for now, we're hoping for them to come on their own. We still have 5 weeks, no need to rush their arrival!

I hope everyone else is having a great day, and is staying cool! It's so hot here!
