As a lot of you know I'm on the track to getting healthier. I'm starting day three of no PPP, added tons of water to my diet, and trying flexitarianism. It's a journey I'm pushing myself through.

Pretzel-ly Deliciousness

I love a certain "warehouse store's" food area. We visit often and my kiddos love their giant hot dogs and slushies. My favorite snack from them is the giant soft pretzel with a cup of cheese. Oh how I enjoy that salty pretzel mixed with the creamy cheese.
Why travel to get what I want though when the San Diego Pretzel Company ships soft pretzels that taste even better than the store!?!?! I was lucky enough to try some with my family, and they love them too!
San Diego Pretzel company offers a variety of choices when it comes to their pretzels. They have slider pretzel buns, pretzel puffs, a jumbo gift box (pretzel in a pretty gift box with mustard salt and more), and 4 different styles of soft pretzels - each come 8 in a bag! That's a lot of pretzels!
We received the slider buns and a bag of 8 Munich pretzels along with sea salt to top them off. I have to say they are some of the best pretzels we've ever eaten, and will definitely be ordering some to have around as a snack. Now only if they did auto-ship of pretzels.... I'd be one happy mama!

The Munich style pretzels were soft and delicious. They were very easy to prepare! All it took was rubbing a little water on the top, sprinkling with sea salt, throwing in the microwave for 30 seconds, and it was ready to eat! The dough was amazing, soft and not overpowered by the salt. My kids enjoyed them because they look like smiley faces (the hoops on top were the eyes and the big crescent shape at the bottom was the mouth.) They enjoyed the taste too, minus the salt.

The slider buns were amazing too! We made mini venison burgers and mini turkey burgers, grilled them and threw them with some bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, mushroom and the fixings! They were absolutely delicious next to our homemade french fries! I've never been a big fan of pretzel buns until now (there's a certain fast food chain that has disgusting pretzel buns in my opinion.

I love the dough of both pretzel types we tried. It's not too sweet nor is it bland... it tastes just like a pretzel should. I'll definitely recommend San Diego Pretzel Company and will be ordering more pretzels from them soon!

Who wants to win some yummy pretzels?? San Diego Pretzel Company has partnered up with me to give away pretzels to 2 of my fans! One fan will win the mini slider buns and one will win a bag of Munich pretzels! I want you to taste for yourself how amazing they are! Enter below, and don't forget to visit their Facebook page and thank them for the opportunity!

Natures Sleep Slippers Review and Giveaway

With 4 kiddos, I'm always on my feet.  There's not a moment in the day I get to sit down comfortably for very long. I've even mastered eating while standing up. At the end of the day, or should I say when I finally get to lay down with my kiddos and hubby in bed, my feet hurt so bad. I've tried different slippers and socks to help throughout the day, but nothing has worked so far.

Nature's Sleep memory foam slippers on the other hand are amazing. I received a pair a few days ago and my feet fell instantly in love with them! They're so soft and squishy! I love the closed toe and hard rubber sole so I can walk outside to check the mail without changing shoes. The hard sole is also good because I'm constantly stepping on toys my kiddos leave everywhere. It's keeping my feet warm now that the cold days have started here in Michigan! My kids even love to steal them, but they don't get them for long!
They're easy to wash, I just threw them in the washer after someone spilled some juice on them then let them air dry. They were back to normal with no signs of any messes!
The memory foam conforms to my feet, so they're perfect for my bad ankle. I love how they squish perfectly when I walk. My feet definitely enjoy them!

Nature's Sleep slippers come in blue, pink and sand for the closed toe and lavender, blue and mocha for the closed toe. They're normally $25 retail but that's definitely worth it for good quality and comfort.
From their site :
Plush comfort and luxury with every step. Indoors or out, these closed-toe slippers offer the perfect balance of softness and support in thanks to the visco-elastic memory foam inner sole, which cradles and contours to your feet while absorbing pressure and impact.

Upper/inner sole 80% cotton/20% polyester; lining 100% polyester; thermoplastic rubber bottom.

WIN IT! One lucky reader will win their own pair of Nature's Sleep Memory Foam Slippers!

Enter using the Rafflecopter form below. Must be 18 or older to enter. Open to US. All entries will be verified so please be sure to enter your information correctly. Giveaway ends 11/01/13 at 11:59pm. Winner will have 48 hours to respond to the email that will be sent after giveaway ends. Reusable Wipe Case

I have a huge diaper bag, which is normal for a mom of four. In my diaper bag I have diapers for the twincesses and for Eli, a wet bag, bottles, extra clothes, burp cloths, hand sanitizer, and many other things. Among those other things I have a giant pack of wipes, because they don't sell small packs. And I find that the kid of those packs is always popping open and wipes get dried out. The packages are also a waste because I just throw them away when done. There has to be a greener solution!

Well, there is. Thanks to Uber Mom, there is a lovely collection of European-style designs on this wonderful wipe case made from recycled Polypropylene. It's reusable! All you do is fill with your selection of wipes and there you go!

I received the owl design on an orange case and love it! It's adorable.

My Daddy Wore Scrubs

Its was time for me to be induced to deliver the twincesses and my husband wore scrubs. They weren't your normal nurse scrubs. They were Daddy Scrubs! All the nurses loved seeing him in them. They were so handsome and made him very proud to show off the fact that he was having more kiddos!

(Note this is NOT my husband in the scrubs lol)

The scrubs not only looked amazing on him, but the cloth was super soft too. We chose the navy blue color with white lettering. The front of the shirt says Daddy and the back says I'm The Daddy while the legs say DaddyScrubs down the bottom.

We moms get a lot of gits while we're pregnant. From maternity wear to nursing wear and pampering. Daddy Scrubs makes the perfect gift for that proud father-to-be! They also have many other expectant father gifts such as hoodies, tees, hats, gift packs and more!

Apple-licious

I have a sweet tooth for apple, especially apple butter. And my kids are always eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Well, what's better than apple jam to go on their sandwiches?

Kauffman's Orchard Products started in 1911 and is still run by family. It's now the 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations running things.
From canned goods to baked goods to syrups and drinksKauffman's  does it all. They have tons of amazing products for every taste.

My kids are obsessed with the apple jam. It has just the right amount of sweet apple taste but isn't over sugary. And the apple butter is thick but spreadable and has a great apple flavor. It is really sweet but goes great on some toast.

I think we've found some new addictions for our family to enjoy.

Want to win some apple butter and apple jam from Kauffman's? Leave a comment below on this post and you will be entered to win!
Winner will be picked on Sunday August 31 at midnight EST. US residents only.

A Box Full of Healthy Surprises

I love food. I also love surprises, especially ones that come monthly and are filled with different goodies that I can eat.
Every month, Healthy Surprise sends boxes filled with a variety of snacks that are healthy to over 10,000 subscribers. They are natural, vegan, gluten free. corn free, wheat free, and soy free snacks, which is the diet of a large number of people these days. The snacks are also made in America!
There's no commitment and the subscription can be cancelled anytime! You can also send the boxes as a gift - one time gift or a mini-subscription! Schedule it for a certain delivery date, or have it shipped immediately.

My Healthy Surprise box was a starter box, and when I received it I was excited to open it and see what goodies it came with. It was definitely a surprise for me! It came rather quickly upon ordering, and inside has a nice Welcome message and a list of "what's in and not in this box."

The goodies came packed neatly inside the box with green and yellow tissue paper. I also noticed a paper that shows the featured vendor and some information on healthy snacks.

The snacks I received were :
- Seasnax Grab & Go (one original and one spicy chipotle)
- California Snax Kale taliano (pizza flavored kale chips)
- Miracle Reds Nutrient Rich Superfood Bar (Fresh Berri Berri)
- Gopal's Rawma Bar (high enzyme energy bar - sesame mango)
- Matt's Munchies Premium Fruit Snack (mango acai)
- Gopal's Pumpkin Seed Sprouties (savory)
- Peter Rabbit Organics Pear and Pea 100% veg and fruit puree
- Happy Hemp toasted hemp seeds
- Righteously Raw raw cacao (pure dark, divine mint, and synergy spice)
- Oskri Dates Walnut Bar

I have not tried all the snacks yet, but I can say the Righteously Raw cacao was yummy and my hubby enjoyed the pumpkin seeds. My sons want the fruit snack which I will split between the two tomorrow and probably let them try the fruit and veg puree as well.

The box was definitely pleasing to my family. We enjoyed trying a few of the items and seeing the new things that we had never heard of.

· Delights – The Original® Almondina totally encased in Milk chocolate
· Yogurt Dipped – Brantreats® dipped on one side with a layer of all natural yogurt

I received a sampler pack with a variety of flavors to try, and I have to say I was scared at first. I opened the first pack, the Choconut, and took a bite. The cookies are very crunchy, kind of hard, and don't fall apart into crumbs. They're easy to chew though. The chocolate wasn't overpowering, and the nuts were in nice chunks, not too big or small. It was perfect. I actually enjoyed the Choconut ones.
I then moved on to try the Gingerspice one because I'm pregnant. I know ginger can be an overwhelming flavor, but it wasn't. And the mix with the almonds and the cookie was perfect.
I have to admit I was impressed with the cookies. The crunchyness didn't make the cookie hard and none of the flavors were extremely strong.

Almondina is an Ohio based company and can be found in many stores such as Fairway, Publix, Hy Vee, Giant Eagle, Brookshire, Mollie Stone’s, Hannaford, Jewel, Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Cost Plus World Market, TJ Maxx, Marshalls and many others.

Relaxing on Hot Days, Applying Heat for Pain

It's been so miserably hot all across the US. Even up here in Michigan where most people think it stays cool it's been excessively hot. And with my pregnancy, hot means miserable. Other than air conditioning, fans and lots of ice water, what can I turn to to keep cool? I've also had some severe neck pain from the strain of where the girls were laying, which made it so I couldn't turn my head, couldn't sleep, and was even more miserable. Well, THERA°PEARLsolved both my issues!

I tried out their amazing neck pack, and so far have loved every minute of it. When it's not hot outside, I'll use it as a heating pad on my neck, and also have used it on my back for my back pain, even though it's not designed for my back lol. But when it's hot, I throw it in the freezer and then use it around my neck and relax with a fan to cool down. I've also found it's a great thing to set across my ribs when the girls are kicking them. It not only encourages them to move because they don't like the cold ice pack, but the cold on my ribs feels amazing.
The pack sits nicely around my neck, and drapes down the front of my shoulders giving me an amazing feeling whether it's hot or cold. I definitely cannot see me living life without the wrap now!

Something Delicious For Everyone

My youngest son is allergic to milk. He's not lactose intolerant, he's allergic. I'm talking breaks out into hives and has a hospital trip. It's been rather difficult to find dairy free snacks at a not-so-expensive price. Finally, thanks to Newman's Own Organics we've found some amazing snacks that the entire family can enjoy without a hospital trip.

Newman's Own Organics sent me a nice box full of goodies. Getting this box excited me not only because I'm pregnant and it has chocolate, but because most of the snacks are dairy free!! I fell in love instantly.

Now I'm not dairy free so I immediately dug into the chocolate and peanut butter cups and chocolate and caramel cups.

Talk about delicious! They were smooth and tasty. The peanut butter wasn't overwhelming and the caramel was creamy and not hard.

The Newman O's were not as bad as I thought they'd be. But they weren't the best. They were a little dryer than I like. But they were good. And I dipped them in milk and enjoyed them.

Elijah has a thing for pretzel rods. They're a great snack especially for on the go. I like to throw them in a snack bag and let him eat them in the Car or at the store. They're convenient. He especially loves the Newman's Own Organics ones. They're not overly dry and overly salty. He enjoys them. And they're dairy free!

I enjoyed the minis myself. I dipped them in mustard.

My husband and oldest son are both fans of Fig Newtons. So he decided to open and try the Fig Newman's. my oldest liked them a lot and my husband said they weren't as soft and crumbled a little more than he expected. But they have an amazing taste.  Now the entire package is gone. Even my youngest enjoyed them. They're dairy and wheat free!

So who wants to win their own mini box from Newman's Own Organics filled with goodies? One lucky fan will get to!! Enter below!!

Newman's Own Organics sent me a box filled with many snacks to review. I am not compensated for my reviews, so I do not make money on them. My review is in no way influenced by anything other than my personal opinion.

How To Clean a Skillet or Pot

So we've had this skillet for a very long time now. It's one of the firsts, so instead of tossing it, that sentimental value hit and we wanted to keep it. But the bottom has been filthy and black/brown and gross looking. The inside kept clean because it's got that special coating and it's Faber ware so it's a good brand. Well, instead of throwing it away I decided to try the same cleaner I use on my stove and when someone burns rice and leaves black marks on the bottom of my pans.
Bon Ami is amazing. I use it all the time. It's toxin free which is the best part for me. With me being pregnant, I have to watch what chemicals I use to clean. No funny odors from Bon Ami!!

Well here's the bottom of the skillet before any cleaning other than regular dish soaps.

Gross right? Well, I used some Bon Ami and sprinkled it all over the bottom.

I let it set for about an hour while I fed the kids some yummy lunch and then came back to scrubbing.
Now I had to scrub with a regular sponge because I ran out of brillo pads. But believe me, I'll be picking some more up this weekend and continuing my scrubbing!

This is the result after just one scrubbing with a regular sponge and a one hour soak.

It looks so much better!! I'll update the post after I scrub again with a brillo pad and another soak. I'm just excited it's already looking 100 times better!

Premama Drink Mix Review and Giveaway

A very important part of being pregnant is taking a prenatal vitamin. It not only helps your body, but helps the baby as well! It's common now for women to take prenatal vitamins when they're not pregnant, as it helps grow stronger hair and nails faster! Doctor's also recommend it for when you're trying to conceive as well as after delivery.
Most prenatal vitamins are horse pills and no one enjoys taking them. With my last pregnancy I had 2 pills to take a day and they made me terribly sick. On top of the morning sickness I had, the pills didn't want to stay down very well. My doctor at the time suggested taking them right before going to sleep.
The pills, yet again, are giving me a hard time with this pregnancy. I feel very nauseated after taking one pill and can't sleep very well, since I take them right before bed. But recently I heard about a new drink mix, and asked my doctor about it. He said it would be a good idea to try and see how it helped with the nausea, and take an extra calcium supplement as well as I'm pregnant with twins.

Premama was nice enough to send me a box of their Prenatal Vitamin Powdered Supplment Mix to review. It is an all natural, flavorless, easy to digest drink mix with only 6 calories and has DHA!
The box says the ingredients are "proven to reduce the risk of some birth defects by 70% or more!" Premama is made in the US with only the highest quality, natural ingredients.
The key ingredients include :
Biotin : may help support embryo growth
B Vitamins : helps provide energy
DHA Omega-3 Fatty Acid : suggested to support fetal cognitive development and protection against postpartum depression
Coenzyme Q10 : may help protect against preeclampsia during pregnancy
Choline : used, along with folic acid, to help further protect against neural tube defects
Ginger root : helps reduce nausea
Folic acid : clinically proven to reduce the risk of some birth defects by up to 70%

Premama contains traces of milk and soybean and is nut-free, gluten-free, egg-free, fish-free, shellfish-free, sulfite-free, and tree nut-free.

The box comes with 30 packets. Each packet has 2 compartments which can be put into a glass or bottle of juice. You can split it into two servings, one compartment per serving, or pour it all into one. I chose to pour both packets into a bottle of water and go about my normal drinking water routine. It suggests using at least 12 oz of liquid for the entire packet, so I used a normal 16 oz bottle of water, shook the bottle and drank!
The mix turns the water a bright yellow, and adds a very light ginger taste. Not something I was fond of. After reading a little more on their website, I found that the suggested use is to mix with juice. Silly me! I mixed half the packet with a small glass of orange juice and was pleasantly surprised. It actually made the orange juice taste more appetizing. The mix itself doesn't completely dissolve, but it left no pill taste so it wasn't bad at all. I actually enjoyed it! I did notice a big difference in the amount of nausea I've had. I actually enjoy taking my prenatals now. I highly suggest this to any woman, whether pregnant, trying to conceive, or to drink just because! I also suggest talking to your doctor before hand incase they want you to add an added supplement for your pregnancy, such as twin pregnancies, etc.

"Premama and many other prenatal supplements are over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. They fall under the ‘supplement’ category and do not require FDA approval. Cherish by Blue Steel Review & Giveaway

I opened the door to a white envelope left by my aunt (who's my mail lady) and got excited. It had my name on it, and wasn't a bill! I hurried up to open it and found this cute little blue box with a bow on it (I've stopped looking at the sender anymore.)

I was dieing to open it!

 Isn't it gorgeous?

Blue Steel is not only known for their Facebook page with their daily giveaways, but they've got amazing quality jewelry for both men and women! I've fallen in love with quite a few items on their site already.
They sent me the Cherish ring, which is made from surgical grade stainless steel and comes in sized 5-8 (I got size 6.)
I love the swirl design of it, the steel wraps around the diamond and is gorgeous. I have small fingers, so a lot of rings look huge on me. But this one fits perfectly.

Sorry about the terrible nail polish job.
See how the silver wraps above and below the diamond?
And the band isn't huge on my fingers?

I have to say I am officially in love with this ring. It has been added to the few that I will wear on a daily basis. I've worn it everyday since I got it (on the 25th, so 4 days) and there's no nicks, scratches or tarnish so far! I've even worn it in the shower and to do dishes.

Blue Steel sent me the Cherish ring to review. I am not compensated for my reviews, so I do not make money on them. My review is in no way influenced by anything other than my personal opinion.

How would you like to win your own piece of quality jewelry from Blue Steel? Enter below to win a $50 gift card! Don't forget to like them on Facebook, they do daily giveaways for different pieces! So head over and like them and let them know I sent you!

Earth Balance Butter Review

So both my kids are lactose intolerant, my youngest is extremely allergic and can't have any lactose at all. So far we've only used soy milk with him in fear that he will have another allergic reaction.

Earth Balance butter is vegan and gluten free and has no msg, non-GMO, and non-dairy.

We picked up a box of Earth Balance Buttery Sticks to use in baking. My mother in law and I tried them in some peanut butter cookies in hopes that we could make a snack for my one year old and the entire family. Well they turned out amazing and delicious. There honestly was a difference in taste, but it was a good difference. The cookies seemed softer and lighter to me.

The recipe we used was quite simple.

Preheat oven to 350.

2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
1 cup sugar (you can mix half regular and half brown too)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredient in a bowl using mixer until smooth. Make 1 inch balls 1 inch apart. Flatten into cookies. Bake for 9 min then make marks in top with fork. Let sit for a few minutes then enjoy.

I purchased Earth Balance Butter on my own accord. I am not compensated for my reviews, so I do not make money on them. My review is in no way influenced by anything other than my personal opinion.
